Exactly! It's no different than turning down the volume or switching off your TV in the middle of a commercial. Or using your Tivo to edit out the commercials.
I fact, it is very different. Web ads are usually paid on a per-click / per-hit basis, so it has a direct impact on the revenue when people filter them. When you turn off your TV, no one notices. (well, the neighbours maybe...)
