Amiga Forever 6.0 on the cover CD of Retro Gamer
« on: February 12, 2005, 12:26:13 AM »
The latest issue of Retro Gamer magazine (volume 2, issue 1) has a "Limited Edition" version of Amiga Forever 6.0 on the cover CD - it includes a legal Amiga Kickstart 1.3 ROM, Amiga OS 1.3, WinUAE and the classic Amiga game "Mindwalker". In short, everything you need play classic A500 games.

Hey, that's nice. I wish that magazine was available near me.

Are you sure it's not? I didn't believe it was available locally here, until I actually saw it and bought it off the shelf. Do you have any Barnes & Noble locally?

Barnes and Noble carries it?!?! I could kick myself for not thinking to try there.

-*edit*-
Seattle area B&Ns do not have the latest issue.  They have the one with the summary of the Dungeon Master/FTL games, and they have the Reto Gamer anthology special mag, but nothing newer.

I'll try B&N again when I go to Texas next week.

Rock on! My local Waldenbooks carries Retro Gamer (in the mall) - guess I know where I'm going tomorrow. ;)

[update]

Aw frell... I just checked their website and the issue referred to herein is issue #9, it's sold out, and my Waldenbooks was selling issue #10. :( Gonna have to check my semi-local B&N to see if they've got it still... [sigh]

if anyone gets truly stuck, drop me a mail and I'll look into how much it will cost to send these abroad.

I'll quite happily ship them to people at what it costs me, plus cost of the magazine - providing I'm not getting hundreds of requests :-D

I've bought 3 copies of this, so if anyone is stuck I'm willing to mail them out for what it costs me.

Two people have already asked and should be getting :D , but if others want them then there's still some on the shelves of the local borders.
