Is it a Phase5 Blizzard 1230-IV?

I can't say I ever got graphics corruption with XTreme Racing but it
could be corrupted texture files.

If it's memory then you might have EDO as opposed to FPM, I've said
this before and I'm convinced that EDO and Blizzard accelerators don't
get along.

Do you get any other strange occurences such as hanging with a red
screen? This can be caused by overheating or interference with the
internal IDE interface. I once had a Quantum Daytona Go-Drive that
would really argue with the Blizzard 1230-IV until I switched off CPU
cache at the early boot menu.

You also might bare in mind that patches could be causing the conflict
such as FBlit.

Yikes, on the bed!?

That is a bad idea because the bed insulates the little amount of heat
that passes through the trapdoor cover and it'd build up. Like an
electric blanket!

:-D

Heat rises though so if you put a little fan inside the A1200 under
the grills on top, then it would create a convection current around
the insides, reducing heat buildup.

I'm not sure whether cutting holes in the plastic slot will do
anything, other than suck dust in from the desk.

Remember if you put fans anywhere it's a good idea to have a little
filter made from maybe nylon tights or something to stop dust building
up inside your machine.

On another note, do you remember the free Christmas demo of XTreme
Racing with the jungle music, snow covered track with Santa Clause
that you could run down?

:-D :-D :-D :-D

I always loved powersliding around corners, it's very much like Mario
Kart with the banana mines and heat seeking missiles.

Ahhh, you'll have to find the demo. It was fun squashing Santa each
lap.

He'd sort bounce around the track near one of the power-up grids and
you could just nitro and squash him.

I also remember that XTreme Racing made use of the CD32 pad which is
great if you have one.

Not a lot of games used that on A1200, but I know Nemac IV used it, PD
game DynAMIte too I think, and I'm sure CoolNES uses it as well as
AmiMasterGear/AmiGameBoy.

:-)

I wish I could get this demo of Super Stardust to run on my A1200
though, it was on an old CD32 Gamer coverdisk with a guy holding a
minigun on. It just won't load without crashing!
