Nice cardboard box with 3.2 roms and CD and install guide would be nice. Cant see how they would fit roms in a dvd case.

A nice box would be awesome, like the OS3.5 one.
As there were about 60  people involved i wonder if a new book will come out in the process. Might be a good bundle: CD, ROM, book in a shiny box. :)

The NDK has also been updated and is present on the disc, download available later for sure.

The changelog is in there too.

I just tried to figure how one would choose a minimal floppy installation:
Do i need disk 1 and disk 10?
Why is an EN or UK localization required? What is the 'internal' language?

For now i am at 9 disks:
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 14 plus one modules disk (28 - 35)..

I made a simple PDF (64 pgs) from the FAQ, might be easier to read on a phone?

A question for the OS3.2 volunteer developers, who presumably also have access  to the OS4 Repository:

FORMAT LONGNAMES (OS3.2)

In the OS4.x and Enhancer Software Format V54.1 and V46.11 system command this is:

FORMAT LONGNAME (OS4 & Enhancer Software)

LIST GROUP (OS3.2)

In the OS4.x and Enhancer Software List V54.7 and V46.7 system command this is:

LIST GROUPS (OS4 & Enhancer Software)

Is it better to keep things the same as much as possible across OS4 and OS3 ?

Why is an EN or UK localization required? What is the 'internal' language?
The internal language of AmigaOS has always been US English. So unless that has changed with 3.2 (hopefully not, as that would create several messes around the place ;-)), it should still be.

Best regards,

Niels

I guess it would be difficult to see how compatibility would be with software that was made for 1.3, 2.0, and 3.1.
I have ADPro 2 and am wanting to buy other Pro. type software.

Apparently a lot of 'switches' have been added to configure everything and avoid dealing with patches and hacks instead.
Only time will tell.

hmm I wondering why the OS3.2 devs chose to release it now as my understanding was that the law case between Hyperion and Cloanto is still ongoing??  Does this mean that thjngs are settled now and hence the release?

for one language you need at least 14 Disks. The localization disks are for the included HELP-System by just pressing HELP you get infos and Help for the options in any language. This needs a seperate disk

This is great news. I've placed my order first thing this morning with Retropassion for the CD and A1200 ROMs. I didn't notice the announcement until late last night otherwise I'd have ordered yesterday. (I was playing with MorphOS in my free time yesterday after getting a new graphics card.)

Which other disks do i need? Are disks 1 and 10 both needed?

And as far as i understand the modules disk is only needed with an older ROM, isn't it?
