Does anyone have tried wxBasic under Linux or Windows (and Mac in the near future)?
Try it with the text-editor "Context" (don't forget to download the wxBasic highlighter support file and to configure a function key to call on the fly the basic compiler with %n).
I think that's a great "basic" opportunity for new guys approaching the programming face of the computer.
It's an opportunity for the new coming AmigaOS4 to cacth new guys as well.
One code and with wxWindows support (the open source, cross-platform native UI framework with eleven years of evolution behind it) your program works under Windows, Linux and Mac!
The download file of the ready working basic compiler for win is 527K: isn't it great for a windows/linux non high-user oriented stuff?
Easy, light and elegant language for an easy, light and elegant OS.
Does anybody who knows better than me how to balance a software like this want to have a look and write down an opinion in here?
Thanks
Mario
