Title: Amiga Computer Users of Edmonton
Post by: BrainD on January 03, 2003, 08:47:33 AM
Based on the number of hits the AmiCUE (http://www.AmiCUE.org)  news letter has been getting. When this news letter was originally published, a little over a year ago, the readership rate was at about 40 to 50 hits per week.  Now the rate is about 250 per week. This again demonstrates that the popularity of Amiga is growing.  This last month, December of 2002, the number of hits on the news letter has hit a record of 1074.

Not meaning to rain on your parade, but my silly website about sellotape got 80766 hits last month, and has had 1353 in the first three days of 2003... so it just goes to show, sellotape is more popular than Amiga  :-D

@Tickly
There is a well-used saying that a good web site should be sticky. I can't think of anything stickier than Sellotape*.

As I mentioned in another thread, it may be good to get Wayne to provide some stats WRT site hits, new members etc. We'd all get a pretty good idea as to how sustained the traffic here really is.

*With the exception of 'Gaffa Tape', which is only Sellotape-on-steroids anyway. With boots on. And a bit stick in its hand. :-P

Folks, I know this news article is a little weak, and before approving it I was going to pm Wayne.

I figured the guy is just giving his site a shout, which in a sense is ok.
