A1200 L.E.D Connector, what does what?
« on: January 06, 2004, 09:01:24 PM »
Just wondering what pin does what on the A1200 LED connector. Im quite sure the first is the power line... but what do the other 3 past the blank one for, in what order are the HDD, FDD and power LED? Im asking because im doing a tower conversion...

Thanks to all in advance.

There should be 4 pins, 3 being together then a empty space and then the last pin. The single pin is common ground for all leds, the first 3 pins are signal. The middle signal pin is floppy but I can't remember if HDD is the first or if power is. For the A1200T project I'm working on I made a little print board with a cable going to the motherboard and pins for the cables from the tower to go on.

thanks brian, now i just need to know which way round the outer 2 pins are :-)

Here its an eyetech easy tower... i removed the led connectors when i removed the motherboard the otherday, but in my haste i didnt write down in what order they came off in. I dont spose anyone would know what colour is the ground on the led connectors in an eyetech easy tower would they?

doesnt matter ive worked it out myself
first is HDD, 2nd is FDD 3rd is power, with the one on its own the common ground.

and the white wire is the ground on the LED connectors in the easy tower.
