Scandoubler bracket mod (inside)
Scandoubler bracket mod (inside)
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: This is the bracket mod as it looks on the inside. It is a bit ugly due to the hot glue but I did\'nt want to hack my case to pieces by drilling holes through it. I sanded the plastic a little and hot glued all. It became very strong. Would the VGA connector support it you could hang an elephant on this  :-o ( little exaggerated )

one of my 1200's has the scsi port from a BPPC there, and a subway card, and a USB port to the side. but i've taken out the USB port to fit the VGA out from the blizzard card..
i have two other usb port where if you can imagine the mouse and joystick ports were on the A600... there is alot of room under that floppy drive ;-)

Are you sure this glue is not inflamable? It would be a pity that heat causes the whole computer to burn because of the glue.

Cool, nothing like a good hack. It's not going to stand up to abuse though. If you are careful, i'l will last a long time. Ive got a drill, i would have drilled a hole in the front and side of the bracket and plactic, and used a bolt and a little screw just to make sure it held up under a small ammount of stress.
