Raised A1200
Raised A1200
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: At the time the picture was taken, this A1200 featured a 2.2GB (I think) slimline 3.5" IDE hard drive and an Apollo 1240/40MHz with 32MB fastmem. Because of the 1240 card I had to raise the A1200 with those "furniture cushions" used at the end of chair legs. Without them, the fan and heatsink wouldn't fit properly and the case wouldn't close. The monitor is an old 15" Philips SVGA with built-in speakers. It seemed to be custom-made for Multiscan:Productivity.

Sure, I used 4 of them with a diameter of maybe 3 or 4cm, and I put them really close to the original ones. Steady as a rock.

Do you find the legs are stable when you lean on the machine to type?

The little green sticker is a crossed-over "Intel Inside" logo and the blue and black sticker says "Nuclear Power Plant" :-)
