What I was saying was a little know fact about traditional christmas puddings is...
They should really be made using an old Simmit (that's a Vest to the rest of you). The pudding once made should be wrapped tightly in the old vest and left for at least 7 days in a dark cupboard, this is the same way traditional Scottish dumplings are made which are very similar to Xmas puds, just without the alchohol content...
Don't forget to wash the vest before giving it back to grandad though...
