How to Insert Picture

I want to insert pictures in a topic.  When I attached a picture it doesn't show up when I preview my topic message. I'm wondering what the process is for this forum?

Accepted formats are; gif,jpg,png

I have .jpg picture files (less than 225k file size).  What is the difference between Insert Image and the Attachments and other options?

I used Attachment to browse for my file and the file is listed as an attachment but it is not displayed when I click Preview.  Insert Image doesn't seem to do anything, it inserts img brackets (I would guess to bracket the picture filename).

Insert image is for linking to a picture on the web. Attaching is physically ataching to post.
