AMC258 Posts:877 | February 13, 2007, 11:37:48 PM It would only look right as a 60s computer if the keys were at least blue. Even more so if most of the keys were blue, but some were red, orange, and other colors. |
weirdami Posts:3776 | September 17, 2006, 11:16:08 PM @Xanxi Yeah, sorta like it coulda been in a 1960's movie about the future... like 2001, or something. Pretty cool looking. With the may the monitor plastic sticks out like that past the glass, it looks like you're looking moving fast, into the future or something. It's all like "look here, see the future!" and stuff. Frank Lloyd Wright? :python: |
Xanxi Posts:897 | January 16, 2006, 02:02:19 PM Nice retro-futuristic design |
K7HTH Posts:573 | August 11, 2005, 01:13:24 AM The computer department had this model in my highschool. I did not take that class but I did drop in to see what computer technology in the early '80s looked like. I ran a program on the monochrome screen from a cassette deck that took about 15 minutes to load the worm game. I was not impressed whatsoever and ignored computers until Radio Shack came out with the Tandy 1000. The rest is history. |

DanDude Posts:505 | January 05, 2004, 05:02:27 PM Whoa -- :-o -- I've never seen this model before in my entire life! |
Varthall Posts:633 | December 20, 2003, 12:13:34 PM That's a Pet, an 8296. I think that it has 96k of ram, not 128k. Still, 96k is a lot of memory for a Pet, I've never seen a program that requires more than 32k. Varthall |

iamaboringperson Posts:5744 | December 15, 2003, 03:40:02 AM I don't think that's a PET! Isn't that a B series Commodore? |
