Hi Robert
I had the same setup as you and tried this game.
The performance wasnt too great to  be brutally honest.
The 2Mb version ran okay, but still not great, and the graphics are very pixelated.

The 4Mb version looks better, but is very slow unless your Amiga is really accelerated.

Anyway, if you're going to play AB3D (which is a very good game, and much more fun than its disappointing sequal), you should check out PatchAB3D on my website.

Of course! My apoliogies, your system is probably fine for the job then.

Personally I prefer Genetic Species which is extremely fun and has 3D
looking graphics with a good framerate and sound.

Yes this is one top game, and ran amazingly on my A1200 T (same spec as Robert's - 030/50 with 8meg).

Another good doom clone which rarely gets mentioned is a game caled BrainKiller (I think) which was featured on the July 1997 Amiga Format CD.
Its got good graphics and plays well on such a system. Freeware too I think.

The only thing that lets TKG down is the speed of the thing. You really need a powerful Amiga for it to be truly playable.

The graphics on the 4 meg version are superb, a LOT better than the graphics off the first AB3D.
