Happy holidays.

When ever i go on holiday, i'm always find Brits that only go to English speaking, English run sports bars.
Have uncontrolable children called Kaleigh and Britney.
Won't even attempt to try local foods.
Think the locals are wierd.
Have to go to the English bar for sunday lunch.
Moan about the heat.
Complain about the sea being cold.
Insist on wearing the same football shirt for 2 weeks.
Dont venture out of the resort or explore by foot.
Insist on hiring a car then complain how bad the locals drive.
Won't attempt to speak the local language and insist on speaking English like a retard in an attempt to make themselves understood.

STAY AT F***IN' HOME or goto skegness  :-x

this summer we had 47º in Sevilla (Spain) hehe but today is the first time I've seen rain in Sevilla (I've been here from April) and today's temperature is quite good :-)
no, I don't like so much heat... until 41º or so I can take it but more than 41º is too much for me... on the other hand we were lucky because in the north countries it is not as usual to have fresh air machines (conditioned air machines?)... ;-D

@ camper and elendil

I don't think its particularly typical of any nation. I DO know exactly what you mean as well. Why travel half way across the world to eat what you eat at home, speak the language you speak at home, etc?

For me, and no doubt for many of the posters on here, part of the point of travelling is to sample the different cultures of other countries, if you don't do that, then what's the point?
Spanish resorts are a good example - Spain has a rich cultural heritage, but people aren't interested in that, they just want sunburn beer and sexually transmitted diseases....

The same goes for Amsterdam, people travel all that way, and don't bother trying to speak any Dutch (although I must admit my attempts have always been met with English responses), don't check out the marvellous Rijkmuseum, Van Gogh museum, etc, the cafe culture (I can't remember the places are called brunhuis or something similar?) or even explore the canals...they just want to pay for sex and get stoned... But then despite all my whingeing - its their choice, I just reckon their missing out!!!

Hola Amigos,

Well today has been alittle cloudy, but still nice and warm. We have been to the OLD TOWN today. It was vey nice, all little narrow streets and Tapas Bars !!

There is a big theme park near here called Terra Mitca. I am talking spouse into going later in the week. On Thursday we are going to Valencia, I went many years ago when younger so it will be great to go again and see the sights.

Yes "Eastenders" is on again and "Dirty Den" is BACK !!! Spouse sends her regards.

It´s very lively here in Benidorm, Discos and Bars with Music and Dancing etc. Saw a really funny comedian last night. Jokes too rude to print here, but very funny.

It is alittle cooler her tonight, thou I had better keep my fluid intake up.................. LOL

Thats all for now folks will stop by manyana. Not sure of spanish spelling on that one.

TTFN Hal2710(r) as in relaxing
