I had a friend that worked at AG around that time.  I actually went with AG to the Newtek show in L.A. and we actually were the "Amiga" booth at the time.  I saw Paul Nolen working on a retargetable VT interface.  He wanted to show it to Newtek and see if they would pay for it.  I guess they did not.  Paul had the toaster switcher working on the CGX screen.  Pretty cool stuff.  There was also a Toaster/Flyer kiosk that they were demonstrating at the show. They seemed to be selling a lot of alpha systems at the time.  Seemed that the A4000 was hard to get but demand was high.  I guess they were getting A4000T systems from Quickpack with that HUGE 060 board they made.  I still have my AMIGA name badge from the show.  There was a Newtek party after the show with an open bar.  Fun times.  We all had such hope. Little did we know.
