Filesystem access from Aros native booted from CD?
« on: January 25, 2005, 07:54:38 PM »
A friend wants to try compiling something in aros and asked me how to mount a filesystem from aros when booted from a cd, and I couldn't find out how. Would have asked on aros-exec.org, but it seems to be down at the moment.

Is there an NTFS or fat32 driver that lets you mount a windows filesystem when booting from the CD, or some other way to easily access storage (other than floppy) while in AROS native?

Or is it possible to make a small partition using PQmagic that's accesible from Aros? How would it be mounted?

I'm afraid there is not NTFS or Fat32 filesytem for AROS... only FFS and CD (ISO whatever).

He will have to put whatever data he wants, onto a CD and then boot AROS and pop the other CD in the drive...

Can a small partition be made on the harddrive of type FFS? (maybe from a linux CD?)
