Apple Introduces Revolutionary MacBook Wheel!! (http://www.theonion.com/content/video/apple_introduces_revolutionary)

No, but OS5 will I'm sure!
-
Very stupid if you ask me!
-
My favorite part 'and then spent 45 minutes typing an email to his friend'

As much as I love Apple's little innovative conveniences that seem to turn what can only be described as bog-standard x86 equipment into revolutionary computers, I just can't see how this will actually make surfing or composing mail and documents any easier.
You know this is a joke right?

Stupid as in the joke of it is stupid? Or stupid because you believed the false report that just happens to have high production value? :-?

That was great. Plus how he loved it just because it was Apple. And did you see the typos in his email? LOL! Friggin hilarious!

Fav part:
It´s still to be seen if the mac book wheel will catch on in the business world, where users use their computers for actual work, and not just d*cking around.
LOL
PS, I´m writing this on my mac mini :)

Sine the product is as real as OS 5, then yes, OS 5 WILL run on it.

Sort of in the same vein as funny reports... When I watched this episode of IT crowd I nearly choked laughing:

I do one-handed surfing all the time. I can't imagine this would be any different.
-
It's funny......... because some people are already trying to pre-order them. :-D
That was too good.
-
Are they serious about this ?
I really really really cannot imagine anyone using this thing.
If they really want to innovate computers, take a look at the Star Trek computers and give me one of those (and make it work)
-
I bet if Jobs announced this at a press conference the automatons would whoop and cheer as much as usual.

Of course its not serious. If it was not obvious enough in the first place, it was already mentioned it was a joke in this thread! Wow! :-o
Let hope no Apple guys link to our forum on any of their message boards. Amigans would be laughing stocks yet again! :boohoo:

what a useless piece of technology...typical of Apple propoganda really

On that note, what really went on at the Macworld keynote this year:
"Apple unveils updates, new MacBook Pro, iTunes changes"

The Onion did a pretty good job of this spoof. Still, I'm surprised that anyone fell for it. Come on, it's The Onion; have a look at their other "news clips."

and it's completely unbreakable....unless you hit or drop it.

I only gave it a seconds thought but yes I did fall for it, but it would not surprise me one bit in this dang age! lol

I am sorry but that is simply retarded. Do you know how long it will take to write anything worth writing with a wheel? I am sure I can do things just as fats with a simple wheel mouse and definately a lot faster with a keyboard. I think Apple people smoke too much crack. If they want to be innovative why don't they actually make something useful instead of beating that Ipod wheel idea to apulp. Its that same as using the I infront of everything Ipod, Imac Icrap. I am sorry but Apple is over rated. I don't think OSX is anything special, sure it has a few nice features, but honestly it is just as lunky as windows, just in different areas and it has just as many security holes if not more. Besides it looks like a record player with a TV on it.

it's amazing how many ppl take it for real and post serious responses

Fantastically produced video clip! And I've forwarded it on to a few people who will probably fall for it! :-)

This was a good one! :-)
I especially like that loser saying "I'll buy anything that's shiny and made by Apple", kind of reminds me of another "A" brand... :-P

I suppose it is testament to the power of Apple's branding and history of innovation, that people will fall for such an obvious hoax... Or Amiga users are just that stupid :-P
