Yes, heard it on the radio this morning. All these old artists are dropping like flies these days. :(

He lived to be a good age though.

I was wondering if anyone here noticed.

I've been a student of blues guitar for 30 years now but only really dug into B.B.'s work in the last decade or so and realized how great he was, not just as a guitar player but as a singer and entertainer.

He was still playing tons of shows until the last year or two when his health got in the way. I didn't realize this until recently, and he'd been through my town just before I realized this. I don't go to many shows but if he was to come through one more time I was going to go. In fact he is the only performer I actually wanted to go see at this point. Bummed his health gave up before he could make it back one more time and sad to see him go.

I figured he lived a pretty full life though, not sure you can find any performer who kept more busy than him for longer, he played a massive amount of shows. He always seemed to have a happy and smiling disposition too, just seemed like a great human being.

The ad itself is funny how it states he is a Jazz guitarist. Not sure I have really heard anything too jazzy out of him yet. Makes me wonder how much he really used the Amiga.

He was 64 in the ad, going by the date it was 1986. So add 29 years he would be 93 which is pretty good.

I'm going to be lucky to see 41...
