Description: This is the back of my A600 with cdrom and cd audio ports. Not pleased with the botch job at the bottom of the cdrom but its only cosmetic. Inside the A600 is: 1gb 2.5" cdrom Teac 224e cdrom drive 4way buffered ide interface clockport adapter Im just waiting for a shorter 40pin ide cable and for jumpers to be soldered onto my cdrom adapter. The case does close and I will take a picture of the insides once I have the final 2 parts. leirbag28 Posts:1793 | September 20, 2006, 02:35:09 PM The trick was to tape or stick the CDROM to as close to the Ceiling of the Keyboard metal plate as possible...........this would have given you a better place to cut the hole........and more space underneath the CDROM drive. Nevertheless.I know how hard it is to cut those holes. I did mine with an Xacto Blade! wow that took some serious Friction! Check out my photo album to see pics of my A600...although I have updated the CDROM to a new DVD/CDRW with a face plate in black. |
