Be sure to check the battery in your A4000 if you haven't already, since they have a tendency to leak and damage the board. Many of the original surface-mount capacitors are also reaching an age where they can leak and cause damage.
If you have an A4000/030 there's a chance you have a rev D motherboard which shipped with a non-leaky coin battery
