My A3000 had CSPPC, so 50MHz 68080 and 128MB of RAM (later it got some hundreds of MB more, but zorro3). Not sure what you mean with "effective", but the bottleneck was always the network card (first A2065, later Deneb and USB ethernet dongle), and then it depends on how complex the GUI component of the client software is, and what hardware it is running on too. GUI complexity is in general much higher today than what it used to be, and X11/xorg is well on its way to be replaced with Wayland for local displays, and RDP for display sharing over network. Good riddance, IMO
