deluxe music for 500 dollars
« on: February 24, 2017, 02:38:18 AM »
Hi all :

A long time ago I bought deluxe music construction set.
I never used it.
I was thinking about selling it, so I checked ebay to see how much they charge.
I was surprised to see it on sale for 500 dollars and another for 399.
This is a lot of money to me.
But I just decided to keep it forever and never sell it.
I am a newbie musician and would really love to use my amiga to make
music.
If this is worth so much money, I rather keep it.
I really would love to start playing with it.
Cheers !!!

In perfect condition, I'd pay absolutely no more than $50 (if I needed another copy). Most copies will probably go for between $10 and $30. It's a great program, but whoever is charging hundreds of dollars for it is nuts (and whoever is buying it at that price is completely bonkers!)

I'd suggest holding onto your copy and enjoying it. As someone who can't sight-read music at any speed good enough to be useful, DMusic has been quite valuable to me in helping me learn tunes and playing with arrangements.

And $2000 for shipping! At that price I expect it to be hand delivered in 30 minutes or less in a solid gold crate with an honor guard! :roflmao:

cant believe that much for just a floppy and 2 manuals.   even the floppy may not work after all this time.     if it came with hard to get hardware then that would help justify the price.  crazy

Deluxe music construction is selling for around $30 - $50 NOT $500.

Yes eBay has a few listins with $500 as BIN price - but if you check actual sold items (it can be checked) - the price is in the range: $30 - $50

Make a backup of it, sell the original to someone who is stupid enough to pay so much and keep the backup to play with it...

I have most of the Deluxe series of software plus the videos. I found a big box of software all mint and in the original boxes that I had forgotten about and I have to say the box and manual art is so wonderful. The big box holding the software was so heavy....

And three Amiga 1000s stacked one on top of another... in their original boxes.

And this goes very nicely with the A1000 takes up most of my destop when they are connected. Beasts.

Silly prices by the way.

The people asking that much for it are a bunch of chancers.  Nobody would pay that much to make music with it because you can get so much more gear or modern software for the money.  Also I don't think productivity software is as collectable as games and hardware.
