Dr. Schulz (http://msaros.blogspot.com/) has released a Beta 2 Release (http://mschulz.hs-harz.de/aros-pc-x86_64.iso.bz2) for his AROS x86_64 Port Bounty (http://thenostromo.com/teamaros2/?number=21). It may crash and there are probably tons of bugs but this is where beta testers live life to the fullest. :-D

Time to fire up my old Athlon64... I've hardly been near the thing since I got my MacBook Pro, I'll try it on my MBP too, just in case :-)
-
Keep the Page (Fault) Exceptions coming, yay!!! :-P
-
Let Dr. Schulz know what hardware your using please. :-D

Hehe, a misunderstanding ? my fault! I mean it's exciting to see memory protection slowly implemented, let me hope the MP will be of type FULL sometime after (E)UAE is integrated :pint:
Concerning integrated (E)UAE btw, it would IMO form a nice nominal symmetry if it could be called *Warper* (along the other two names: Wanderer and Traveller), yup..

Looks like Dr. Schulz found the bug (http://moobunny.dreamhosters.com/cgi/mbmessage.pl/amiga/152201.shtml).

I'll try in on my old Athlon 64/nForce3(needs to be rebuilt), DIY C2D+P35 based server and ASUS G1S (C2D SantaRosa) laptop.

Even though my comp is no 64 bit one (which means I cannot test AROS64..yet) I cannot wait 'till the 64 bit kitty opens her eyes and terminates any rat (unauthorized task) that tries to fiddle around her territory (unassigned memory pages). :-)

Awesome!

Works fine on my Athlon64 3200 with 1Gig RAM.
I haven't found any program to crash it yet... Seems rather swift, though close gadgets don't work :-)

Close gadgets should be now working. Expect to see on AROS (http://www.aros.org) main page AROS64 nightly beginning sometime this week.

Nice one! I reckon, after this, Michal will have got pretty much all of my bounty donations :-)
