With a small modification, THIS will work with an Amiga. I am using one of these with my 128D RGBi output on the 128 Tower project.

If people are that desparate, maybe I should convert a bunch of them and sell them on eBay.  :idea:

@redrumloa

i was sitting here wondering to sell my Indivision FF/SS and some other stuff before i saw this thread, would this card sync. down to PAL H.freq.?
I see it does 55Hz, that's not low enough in theory..but my LCD says 56Hz and i still can sync. to PAL with no problems..

@thread

I want to build a new A1200 towered system, what are my options to get it working with a modern crt/lcd (15khz/50hz), other than the Indivision FF/SD and similar expensive solutions, I've heard about internal FF/SD for amigas?

I been scouting for a scandoubler/flicker fixer, but this ebay auction has shown me I just do not have enough game to play with the big boys of Amiga hardware acquisitions.

Maybe I'm a lucky guy that I won my Arxon Scandoubler for only 56 euros, eh? :roll:

Good one... in this case my Amiga is around 2-3x more expensive than my Core 2 Duo 2.66/2Gb... ;).

At this point I can only say THANK GOODNESS I bought my Amiga stuff in the late 1990s and early 2000s.  It's funny how I thought that I was paying too much back then for used hardware.  But right now I'd say that $250CAD for an A3000 with 16MB RAM, 3640, Cybervision 64 card and other goodies wasn't a bad price.

The only good thing I can see coming from this, is that the high prices could lead some developer to notice that there IS a market for new Amiga hardware.

Looks like someone did the "I'll put in a ridiculous bid (say $1000) and no one will out bid me, not even snipers" and then along came a sniper and thought "I'll bid $800 and I'll get it for sure"

Only thing is his $800 snipe failed, so he tried $900 and then laughed at the guy paying $910 for something both of them probably didn't want to pay over $500 for.

It's all in the bid timestamps :)

I wonder how much effect anti-sniping features in an auction engine would have on bidding.

Amiga FTW!

That's not a joke!  :-D  :-D

I've spent more than 1000 euros to build my first A4000T... till now... but I'm willing to give more to expand it, especially with a CyberStorm MK3 CPU of course. 8-)

If that's the same one I was watching a little while ago (and I'm pretty sure it is) bidding started at 99 cents with no reserve.

I stopped watching it when it hit 150 bucks.

So, the seller wasn't ripping anyone off - it's just a case of  a couple of bid crazy people out there, and good luck to him!

Guess I'll be waiting a bit longer for a scandoubler :)
