Works great other than the CD Music function which I can't get to work. I can just press play on the CD player before I begin but that is not quite the same. Any advice?

There is a file in the Libs drawer with this name so I assume my OS3.9 with Boing Bags 1 & 2 would have V37 or higher?

So I'm guessing other people have got the CD music working? I've selected SCSi unit 5 (the correct SCSI ID) in the games prefs and Asimcd.device as that is the CD File System that I use. That should be all there is to it shouldn't it?

As I say I can get the CD music playing in the standard Amiga OS 3.9 CD player and the one bundled with AsimCD.

Bump. Anyone got it working? Am I right to use Asimcd.device? I've got so used to my Amiga CD music just working I forget how the CD filesystem interacts with the SCSI interface in the A4000T. I remember Asim made it a lot simpler to configure my slot loaded CD-Rom drive but maybe in cases like this it isn't as simple? Saying that OnEscapee and Napalm play CD music fine. The only thing that is weird about the MegaCD CD-Rom is that it's called 'TEST'. Is this ok?

Any help would be appreciated. I am looking forward to playing it with music this weekend! :elvis:

I am just talking about setting up the CD music, the game itself runs fine. I can't see the converted files on the internet to save the music to the hard disk plus the CDDA data would probably sound better if I can get it working.

For those that have been following my problem, the answer for CD Music Prefs setup on the A4000T with AsimCD installed and a SCSI CD-Rom was to use:

Device: scsi.device
Unit: 5 (the SCSI ID)

For whatever reason there is no icon for SCSI.device in my Devs folder and it was only when I looked at the setup file for Exodus: The Last War that I saw the correct setup! It's a bit confusing how all this CD.device stuff works! However, solving it now means I have music on Napalm and Heart of the Alien as well as Exodus. I knew it would be worth buying Exodus even though my CD-Rom doesn't like the disc too much the auto-setup features are obviously quite advanced for an Amiga game and helped me solve this problem!

All in all Another World 2 is a good game with good music but I'm getting phantom game input commands registering every so often. I don't know whether the inputs are double buffered or not but when the alien jumps when I haven't pushed anything it's leading to a lot more deaths than I'd like! Any ideas? This is on a 060 so it should be fast enough to have no input lag!

A 2-button joypad is fine. Obviously a MegaDrive pad comes under that category but obviously you use at your own risk due to the 5v pin being wired differently.
