No option to pick I'll get one when Jack Tramiel gets one. CUSA should just give Jack one, would be good karma and PR.

I actually agree with you on that, would be neat.

P.S. I also know that the Tramiel family is somewhat aware of C=USA plans and have contacted them(a casual hello, if I understood correctly). And no, no death threats were made :)

Personally, as I've said before. I'm gutting an A500, A600 or A1200 and using that case. There's already keyboard adapters for that.
Well, I did say "if I wanted." I really don't, 'cause I'm just not that enamored of keyboard-housed computers (laptops excepted.) But if I did, I sure as hell wouldn't pay someone to do it for me.
Computers: Amiga 1200, DEC VAXStation 4000/60, DEC MicroPDP-11/73
Synthesizers: Roland JX-10/MT-32/D-10, Oberheim Matrix-6, Yamaha DX7/FB-01, Korg MS-20 Mini, Ensoniq Mirage/SQ-80, Sequential Circuits Prophet-600, Hohner String Performer

If they manage to get the price down a bit, I'd get one case.

And no, it's not exactly like using a C64 case and keyboard... looking at the rendered pics, it seems like the had the good idea to put 4 arrow keys in the keyboard.

Having only two arrow keys it's what I most hated in the original C64.

Well, I chose the 'I will buy one if Franko does' option because I thought it meant: even less likely than the 'no chance' option.

P.S.  Does CUSA have a stock that I can sell short?

Hey, off topic i know but i went to sign the petition on anti commodore usa and found they have shut it down so i couldn't sign it :(

http://www.petitiononline.com/newamiga/petition.html

So where do i sign up? I think we can force them to change the naming of their products. We did before when they changed Workbench 5 to CommodoreOS so let's do it again! :)
Even my cat doesn\'t like me.

700 bucks from System 76 will get: (Laptop anyways, didn't look at a desktop system)

Ubuntu 10.10
Core I3 processor
2 gigs of RAM (+35 dollars for 4 gigs)
250 GB hard drive
Wireless
1 year warranty and 1 year support

How does that compare to the C64x?

Uh, the obvious.
It has a slightly newer release of Ubuntu.
It has a faster, more powerful processor.
It doesn't have a C64 breadbox case.
It's $100 more expensive.

Good company to work for. The Executive Director gets paid slightly less than the average hobo.

Heh. Indeed, but look at what the CEO of Yeahronimo Media Ventures apparently takes, compared to the erm..value of his company.

Im not actually trying to be obtuse here :) I had a hard time finding hard specs at a brief glance onthe CUSA site. It was all scattered throughout the place I looked.
