A500+ strange behaviour...
« on: April 06, 2008, 04:51:54 PM »
I just put my A501 half a meg ram board in my A500+. It has a Derringer 030 w/32MB ram as well. And a Trumpcard HDD.
However. the half meg from the 501 shows up as chipram.
In all other A500s it shows up as fast.

Is this normal for 500+?

(i don't complain though.  :-D )

Yes that is correct. The A500+ can have up to 1MB in the trapdoor, and it is used as CHIP.

Is this or this what i need to get fastmem as well?
(Need it when running the A500 in 68000 mode... the derrigner ram is not enabled then, and i cannot find any way to do so. Adram commands do not work.)
