Elbox's first pictures of Dragon
« on: April 01, 2005, 02:45:04 PM »
Elbox Computer has released today photos of Dragon.

We have heard requests to show our 'mythical Dragon' photos recently. And now we have decided to fulfil these wishes. The time has come for the Dragon to appear in full glory for the benefit the whole world.

Please have a look at Dragon pictures:
Dragon front view (561kb),
Dragon back view (432kb),
Dragon top view (637kb).

The photos were taken on 31 March 2005.

Can we also have photos of the Shark, while you're at it? :-)

indeed...a quick search on google for SHARK PPC yielded quite a few pictures...

most telling is the one which appears to be depicting an Elbox engineer hard at work...

I certainly hope Elbox has a good sense of humor.  As far as April fool's day jokes go, this is pretty funny.

Here comes the big question mark. Was the whole Dragon shebang invented only to be an April 1st joke or is it still an "upcoming" hardware? I'm confused. :-?

With respect to the current situation of the pope (which is from Poland), and from my own experiences with my Polnish collegues I would suggest not to go any further at the moment with this joke (though I found it nice to see the old dragon once again).

I think it is not appropriate at the moment.

Am i the only one who's a mite cheezed off about this?  As mentioned above it seems to come from Elboxs' own website, suggesting they know that we know it's all a scam.  Are they laughing with or at us? (not that i laughed at all)

Correction.... One may think that they are on Elbox's web site but check again.
For IE users put the mouse pointer in the lower left corner... Nice redirection...

What are you talking about?  Typing the URLs in manually yields the same result.  Even if I manually send an HTTP request to elbox.com using Putty I get the same result.
