I still don't get why Brussel sprouts are connected to dark time festivities. Brits are strange people.

actually, I guess its because one is already miserable with the lack of light, and being wet and cold, so why not compound it by eating nasty tasting pungent vegetables ?

Gee...you guys are makin me really miss England....not!  I spent almost a year outside London...loved everything but the bloody weather!  

Gack...the lack of light in the winter nearly drove me to sprouts!!
