Sonique 2, which had previously been pencilled in for an Amiga version, has been stopped by Terra Lycos, which owns the software.
Furthermore a number of staff has been laid off, including most of the Sonique development team. This comes amid news of financial difficulty at Lycos, but the company has not made any statements regarding its audio player. Rather, the news has been broadcast on the
Sonique community forum by the laid off staff, and inevitably embellished by its members.
