hello!
« on: February 09, 2007, 04:25:01 AM »
hi! this is my first post, ive browsed here for a while and decided to finally join. im 17 and i have a pretty decent (and growing slowly) classic amiga collection so i figured this would be the place to go! i currently have 3 amiga 1000s (one is up for sale on ebay as we speak, i will put a link at the end of this post)and one a500 plus a pretty sizable ammount of other hardware and software. i aquired most of it at an estate auction and i consider it to be probably the best haul ive ever gotten!

in that mountian are 2 1010 floppy drives a 1020 with transformer software a c-ltd scsi controller with a scsi floppy drive a 1080 monitor 2 a1000s and a bunch of misc software. all for a grand total of 24$! check out one of the amigas up for sale on ebay

Hi, and welcome!  Nice find, for sure.

How did you find out about the auction?  I've been phoning and driving around, to thrift shops and auction places and such, but no joy so far.

usually there are ads in the local paper and shoppers (ours are the dandy dollar and hawkeye trader, usually free at grocery stores and stuff) honestly i found the amiga totally on accident, i was at the auction with my dad and happened to see the ole checkmark, investigated further and found a small amiga mountain  :-)

Good heavens, what a sight to behold amongst the rocking chairs!

In original boxes too...

:-o

Hey, never heard of a SCSI floppy drive. Do they give you 10MB/s instead of 10K?

;-)

honestly no idea, its a 5.25" drive that connects to the C-ltd controller so i assume its SCSI. ill take some pics of it and some other stuff i have tomorrow maybe. you can see it in that pic on the top of the stack next to the 1010 floppy box
