Piru Posts:6946 | September 12, 2003, 12:09:13 AM @carls Quote Is that a fake or is it a modified A1200 case turned into a keyboard? It's the keyboard of my custom made A1200 tower. To get the idea how the keyboard was put together, see the back of the keyboard. Basically I took the keyboard frame and matrix (lower part of the keyboard) from the A500, and used the keycaps (upper part) of the A1200. Then I mutilated the A1200 case with a saw and took the bottom off (the keyboard would have been all too high with it). I left enough of the frames there to keep the keyboard together. The cord is off a PC keyboard, the wiring and connector are custom (just make sure the correct wires reach the correct pins on the motherboard. The actual keyboard hack is available on Aminet somewhere.) Ah, as a bonus compared to typical custom made A1200 keyboard hacks: The ctrl-a-a reset works perfectly, no delay like on the original A1200 keyboard. :-) |
