KDH
« on: March 01, 2006, 10:10:57 AM »
I purchased MakeCD from KDH last September.
It has worked fine until a week ago. When I
try to launch it, it says my registration
code is bad and will only run in demo mode.
I've emailed KDH asking if there's anyhing
that can be done to fix this and am getting
no response. Is KDH still in business? If
not is there anything I can do to get MakeCD
working again? Thanks.

Did you accidently format your harddrive ??? I had that problem too a few years ago and then I had to use my identification code again which was sent to me by Angela Schmidt I think coz I odered it from the site of MakeCD. May I know how you got your code ? On a piece of paper or in an email ???                :-?

You always have to reenter the reg code after you moved or copied the program file. That's nothing KDH can fix. Just enter the reg code and it woll work again.

I haven't accidently formatted my hard drive
and I've tried re-entering the registration
code about a half dozen times with no luck.
KDH sent the code to me via email and I'm
entering the code from that email. Is it
still possible to get in touch with Angela
Schmidt to see if there's something I can
do? Thanks for the quick responses.

Did you try to reinstall the program (or at least to copy the program file and its icon from the installation archive) and entered the reg key after that ?

Are you sure you entered the reg key correctly (with correct case and differentiating between the letter O and the number 0) ? Can you use cut & paste ?

I am not sure if the contact data is coded in the key, too (like with TurboPrint). Did you enter the same name and address as when you registered first ?

Oh and on which platform does this happen ? On WinUAE with a HDD directory registration does not work, you have to use a HDF.

Bye,
Thomas

I must have done something to change something
because after powering down, disconnecting the
CD-RW, then powering back up and entering the
registration code, MakeCD is recognising the
code again. I reconnected the CD-RW and now
MakeCD is working Ok. In the future I'll just
have to remember how tempermental MakeCD is.
Thanks for the help!
