Push the Button Crispy! Push It! You know you want to! Push it twice, send the 2nd one to me! You know you want to!

Hmm, I'll have to go back to the site and see what the developer boards are about, the link to yahoo caused a system crash ... msg me the details if you get them!!!

Re: Dev. Boards - Never mind I've figured it out. I just had to read more carefully

Oops that was a dealer detail link, and it's locked anyways. ?? I guess no developer details, or does that mean OS4 beta testers (?but they are sending you beta + linux)

In case you want to know to be a dealer:

"and any bona fide incorporated body that can meet the requirements in terms of technical support and minimum order quantities can sell the AmigaOnepoint5 (and OS4)"

"To apply to join, please email us at a1dealerapp@eyetech.co.uk with 'A1Dealer List Application' in the subject line. You should include details of your company, your website and email addresses, and if possible include some proof of advertising within the Amiga press. "

Then you get access to the locked yahoo group

Never mind my above insanity of dev boards. I've figured it out the 2 prices had me messed up.

If you can't read like me, the boards directly from eyetech are the dev boards, have linux with them, have the cheaper price (10% suggested of price), and 10% discount on Amiga OS 4.

Ok, I'm fine, well that's relative.

What are you trying to figure out.
There is a techincal "How does the Amiga/PCI bridge card work?" in the FAQ

Other than that Escena made a PCI board with 'special chips'(*) that connect from the PCI card to the A1200 "edge connector" via a ribbon cable.

They seem to indicate the two systems can be stored in separte towers.

I'd like to know the length of cable we can get away with since very few towers are going to hold two mother boards... Will we need the 2 towers side by side with sides open, can we route through spare PCI holes if we have 2 towers. Then how to get it in through the standard case.

It looks like we'll need the A1200 for floppy access, and AGA hacking, mabey complient AGA games ...  or is complient == retagatable true?

(*) " special chips - similar to those used in some microprocessor emulator boards - which ensure the integrity of the data "

Finally some good news, I mean, FINALLY! And the price point isn't that bad after all, it's not what I'd call cheap but at least it's way lower than other PowerPC-based machines (Apple, do you hear me).

I hope, I'll get one of those boards in my hands soon!!!
And I know some people who would return back to Amiga if good hardware is released.
Here's our chance!  :-)
