Description: This was most likely caused when I pulled the CPU out. But the socket was trashed anyway so nothing to worry about. Hope to get new socket soon and finish cleaning board.

My A4000 motherboard had similar damage, but not as much as your motherboard.

I noticed green stuff on the kickstart sockets when I installed 3.1 roms, so the green stuff can travel really far over the motherboard!

In reply to cv643d, I hope not.

It did boot up OK. But at the moment I have the CPU socket out now and waiting for the replacement to arrive. Then need to re-solder some of the joints in that immediate area. The leaking battery has caused more damage than I first realized. Still, I want her back up and running, so it will be all worthwhile.

That has happened to a few of my Amigas to.

I just wonder, if that green crap have appeard on your motherboard does that mean that your Amiga is going to rotten with time?
