Description: You just take a Blizzard 2060 board, add a Phase5 Cyberstorm PPC Prototype Card... So 2060 + PPC = 2060PPC :-D Picture Stats: Views: 2393 Filesize: 74.58kB Height: 768 Width: 1024 Posted by: hakker at June 19, 2006, 10:33:27 PM Image Linking Codes

touringsedan Posts:50 | August 07, 2012, 01:13:05 PM I am sure these are some of the rarest PPC items that can be used with an A2000 and that places this on my number 1 must have list. My A2000/2060 is my favorite machine so far and she is currently maxed out, except for this little PPC gem.. Could we convince you to post an A2000 PPC video? |
save2600 Posts:3261 | February 09, 2009, 11:03:12 PM I'm sorry - I just had to resurrect this sexy old post! This Prototype PPC board is just too cool. Looking for some PIII's I thought I had, I stumbled upon an old G3 processor instead. An XSC7400 to be exact. Anyone have a spare Phase5 PPC board sitting around collecting dust or can I just plug this puppy in to the 060 slot and away we go? (kidding) |

Brian Posts:1604 | February 10, 2007, 12:38:05 PM What's needed to make it fit... well... You need a CPU slot reiser to give it clearance from the motherboard (might work with soldering the 68000 CPU directly to the motherboard and get rid of the sokket cause it's that close to fit "stock" but a reiser is preferred as to prevent misshaps). For the drivebay, a slight modification is needed on the drivebay itself but nothing that prevents you from using both a 5.25" Unit and 2 floppys though (left hand floppydrive might need it's drivecover altered though). Ow and yes... it does work. :-D |
adonay Posts:1144 | June 28, 2006, 12:47:08 AM If it do work it is perhapps worth removing that drive bay in order for the 2KPPC but somehow i doubt it works but i have been supriced before right :-) |
x56h34 Posts:2921 | June 21, 2006, 06:17:44 PM Does it actually work though? Looks like the combo doesn't leave enough clearance space for the whole thing to be plugged in to the accelerator slot. I think the PPC part would hit the drive bay. |
Matt_H Posts:6411 | June 20, 2006, 10:12:24 PM If only these boards had been mass-produced. Probably would have been a great shot in the arm back in 1997/1998. Sigh... |
Cyberus Posts:5696 | June 20, 2006, 07:51:59 PM Now get a cpu-slot adapter for an A1000 and probably have the most powerful retro-amiga ever :-) |
PaSha Posts:537 | June 20, 2006, 04:51:57 PM And it actually works? Well done! :pint: |
