Long Pin socket Help !~?!
« on: March 28, 2022, 07:24:14 AM »
I need a little help finding replacement machined long 40 pin sockets.
I do not know what these are are called to do a proper search.
I broke off 2 pins and need to solder in a new replacement.
The pins as shown are about 12mm from the PBC and the slimmer end is about 3.5mm(?)
Any help would be much appreciated!!!
Thanks

Many thanks for the link!!
Very helpful for the info.
The legs on my broken sockets are thin  at then ends. Your link dose not have these.
I think this will be helpful in that the legs only go 'so far' and keep the PCB at the correct height above the other chips.
Is this called something else?
again thanks
