Insane prediction of the year: Microsoft will merge with Apple

Now that would truly be insane. It might give the Amiga a fighting chance as people would look for new alternatives.

Here is the shocking video.

Even before the obvious, I just can't see what advantage it would have for either company!

Sure why not.... anti-monopoly laws (the laws that protect us from Corporate Communism) are being trampled upon and eroded every day.
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

Reminds me of one of my signature lines from back in the day: The most feared merger: FBIBM.  :)

(except...that's kind of happened with the NSA and every tech company :P )
Back away from the EU-SSR!

It could easily be argued that with Android as competition it wouldn't really create a monopoly.  Ubuntu Linux tablets are due out next year.  The times they are a changing....

The are, sounds like standard crap fare to me. It would be ironic though seeing as Microsoft pumped so much dosh into the Apple bailout in '97. Perhaps that was a deposit?

Ubuntu Linux tablets. Sounds like a great idea.

I doubt that this will happen or even could. If it did though, I'm done. I'm finding a new career and I'll be running nothing but Open Source operating systems and software from that point on.
I think, Therefore - Amiga....

What would be more difficult would be Microsoft/Google.  That would provide a domination that would be scary.
