Anyone recommend a domain registrar/hosting?
« on: January 05, 2006, 01:37:04 PM »
I want to register two .net domains, and a wee bit of space for hosting would be cool to. I've used uk2.net in the past, anyone else have any recommendations?

I can host you for dirt cheap. I also register domain names for $8.99 but feel free to register it/them elsewhere if you so desire. :-)

Let me know what you want & need and I can get you set up for cheap (or I could forward you a list of pre-set packages we have, or a link to our pages). Our servers are located in Florida and California, both NAC/NOCs have multiple telcos (at least 4 connections into each building) and OC3 or better connections into each facility (both are also first step from trunks). That means the servers are always up and are always fast, if you have no idea what I was talking about.

I don't talk much about what I do on here, but if it's webdesign, hosting, VoIP, programming, IT/IS services, etc., that's my world.

I know a hosting firm that sell hosting for 4$ per month.
700 Mb disk space, 10 Gb traffic, 50 email accounts, 1 domain  free and some PHP/Perl/MySQL/PostgreSQL free scripts such as phpBB, Nucleus and other.

I have a site there and i can say that the performance and reliability is pretty good.
If you have questions, be my quest. :)

What about your site?
If it is about open source or some free stuffs I can handle it. :)
As I said this firm offer good performance and reliability cPanel and 24/7/365 phone, email support, 99.9% uptime.
They support some open source projects and can offer you a discount for such site.
The price for 1 year is 35-40$.
Very cheap.

The site netbsd.nhydra.org is driven by them. :)
I have 99.9% uptime for now :)

P.S.
I see that you have no email adress.
If you wish I can offer you an email in nhydra.org.
In future i plan to make a mirror site about amiga in the nhydra.org domain.

I use datacities for hosting my domains

So I moved to another company for web hosting called JaguarPC and have'nt had any problems with them atall, they have a basic package for £7 a month that gives you 6gig webspace and 180gig monthy transfer (6 gig transfer a day.

But check out here WebHosting Talk its a great place of info for hosting talk etc

Hello cyberus,

:laugh1: Nowadays, there are a lot of domain registrars and hosting providers in the world. A few of them provides domain registration with free hosting and valuable services to the registrants. Among all, i would recommend the domain with hosting provider Thewebpole.com to you. Here, they will provide Auto renew protection, Hosting with website builder and additional fruitful features to the domain registrants. If you are interested to register your .net domain then contact the above mentioned provider. :mickeymouse:
