Title: CSA 12 Gauge Accelerator
Post by: Zoomug on March 15, 2007, 09:10:26 PM
Hi all. I have just got myself a second hand CSA 12 Gauge 68030 50mhz accelerator board for my A1200.
When i plug the board in and try to boot, i just get a red screen and a flashing power light. The machine trys to re-boot, but goes through the same again.

I did read somewhere, that it dont like the 3.1 roms, so i changed them back to my old 3.0 roms. This time the screen went balck and the machine still did not boot.
I have also tried changing the sims, even removing them all together to see if would boot.
Is this e-bay'd card dead, or am i overlooking something guys ..

Please help

Thanks

Did you play around with the jumpers?

Look at this thread of mine for a link for the jumpers:

(Any gurus reading this, please see if you can answer my questions or give hints in that previous thread. It'd be appreciated!)

I believe mine gave a black screen when using it with KS 3.1, not red. As for red, it means this:

Quote

-Red
ROM error, reseat or replace Kickstart ROMS (this can also be caused by worn insulation covering the back end of the pins that connect an IDE cable to a hard drive, aka short).

Play with the jumpers and lets u know if it works. Good luck!
