america's attempt at a red dwarf series was futile.

i like seinfeld though, that's the only comedy from america starring "real people" that i like

there's not much good on american TV. Friend's sure WASN'T it!
Fraser was funny.
the best shows on US TV is Simpsons, Fururama, South PArk, and stuff like that. anything that is rude, basically.

Agreed. I think the cartoons are great. Satire and humour on all levels.
No canned laughter, no unrealistically beautiful people, no toilet humour...
I don't really like American comedy at all (if it can be called that). However, I would say that some of the older stuff like Cheers and Roseanne are much better.

Out of interest, has anyone seen any German humour? Is the stereotype of the Germans being humourless true? ;):P:D
I like Amigas

Roseanne is awesome, The Simpsons are always entertaining, Whose line is it anyway? is great, and of course Star Trek (my favorites are Voyager, TNG and DS9).  As for British shows (that I've seen anyway) I love Absolutely Fabulous, Are You Being Served?, and the Vicar of Dibley.

Other than that I don't really watch tv much on purpose.  I'm much happier sitting at the computer browsing Amiga.org wearing headphones and listening to mp3s :-)

Actually, the Germans can be very funny :-). ThereĀ“s this guy who plays a policeofficer who can be seen on the German station NDR. He speaks with an East-Frisian accent and is just  hilarious.

Speaking of avatars... (not to hijack the thread or anything) can anyone actually tell what's going on in mine? It seemed like a cool idea when I first thought of it, but now...
