Disney buys Star Wars.

George Lucas is selling the Star Wars franchise for 4 Billion dollars to Disney.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not. On the plus side George completely screwed up the franchise climaxing with Vadar screaming "Noooooooooo.....". So maybe it is good to get rid of him so he can't damage it any more.

On the other hand Walt Disney are a money grabbing corporation. Look at the decrease in quality of the Pirates movies. The first was fantastic but the rest were bloated crap with characters not having anything to do but to stand there pretending to be a part of the story. With a new Disney inspired Star Wars movie in the works this could mean trouble...

Good or bad, i can't decide.

What do you think?
Even my cat doesn\'t like me.

These are the people who are rebooting Condorman because they think there might be a few bucks left in it. Nothing good will come of this.

Even good franchises need to be put to permanent rest... especially good franchises.

Heh...actually it's one of those things that shows just how deep an impact my parents have made on my brain :D I know more about the popular culture of the '60s-late '80s than I do about anything in my own youth...

The last 3 episodes were more or less Disney N E way. No big change.
