This is yours? Not really my thing, but kudos to you for getting something finished and published. My tracks almost never get finished.

What did you make the music with (instruments, sequencers, etc)?
Good good study, day day up!

Yeah, I also felt it was both a bit General Midi'ish, and also a bit tight.

I started out with a GM sound module + a Juno106 and Miggy samples. It can be pretty tough pulling rich sounds from GM.

I think the music could benefit from looser, more natural timing, and probably a bit more harmonisation in melodies. Harmonies can help to add richness, and character, which may not be present from single tone sounds. Chord progressions, rather than single tone melodies, and harmonic cadences, can both give a lot of character.

Hope this isn't more feedback than you were looking for.
Good good study, day day up!

Oliver, what did u mean with 'tight'?

Hmm, sorry, that was a bit vague. I should say, the style of music you are doing is pretty different from anything I have done, but I think the relaxed calypso sort of feeling is well achieved with a swing rhythm. I thought it may feel better with more of a syncopated, swaying timing. Maybe I'm offering too much of my own opinion here.
