Amiga INC Announcing OS5.0 at CES in Las Vegas next week!

I'm not trying to be negative here, but who cares about "OS5"?

OS4 exists RIGHT NOW. and for some HW is available RIGHT NOW. Now THAT is worth getting excited about.

some mythical OS5 may or may not be available for who knows How long.

Until I can hold it in my hands, please don't bother me....

Most of us here cant even run OS4! I think OS5 might be jumping the gun a little bit?

It seems like AINC is only interested in the community when they seem to be low on cash and desperate. trying to make a quick buck.

Ex:

-The $50 coupon

They dont seem to have any interest in actually supporting the community by giving small efforts that might actually gradually increase the user base

Ex: OS4 for the Mac Mini

You guys have little to no user base at this point! You will never make money on this IP. Will you please open source it and give up!

Why do you doubt it? When Workbench 3 and above are already better than the alternatives (I can only assume what OS4 is like as I don't have PPC)!

In case you have not noticed all the latest versions of Win and MacOS are sluggish and unintuitive next to the humble Workbench.

If you mean "better" in terms of sales, then you would probably be right.

If you mean "better" as in ease of use, flexiblity, efficiency with it's usage of system resources, or even just prettiness. You would be waaay wrong.

I just read a bit of the AmigaWorld thread and noticed, coloured by healthy Amiga.Org scepticism, that AmiTV's english is EXTREMELY broken and when he quotes Bill the same goes for him. I find it hard to believe that AmiTV could break Bills english simply by qouting him.. Unless Bill has nothing to do with it, in which case it`s just a hoax (emmmhh..)
