Announcing at CES in Las Vegas next week and we will go public at that time.

and

We are announcing at Digital Experience which is a private invitation only event for the press.

Well anyways OS5 huh?  I highly doubt it'll be better than OSX or XP or Vista or Windows 98 for that matter, AND that is if it is even released at all.  Pretty sad when they make an announcement and we automatically assume they're blowin smoke up our a$$, but they did it to themselves.  Long Live Amiga (the computer), and long...jump outta here Bill. :-D  :-D  :-D

I agree new hardware (whether accelerator card or brand new mobo) would make for a better announcement. However, any signs that progress is being made at AInc would be astounding to me, so that's what I'm hoping for. Hoping, certainly not expecting.

Well, CES is next week. I think it'll be cool if something big happened there. Amiga hasn't been to CES in forever. I don't know what the "go public" thing means, though, in this context. Is it just restating the CES announcement thing and being redundant or is it about some kind of IPO type deal?

Umm..well I just went to the CES website to look at the exibitor list and
guess what I did not see Amiga INC..on the list.

A search of registered exibitors and press events for CES 2008 shows no hits for Amiga, Kmos or Amino. I'm going to be very sarcastic and say any one attending CES from Amiga Inc. is registering as a visitor just like any of us "little people". CES ends Jan 10th. Lots of time to burn up a few threads about it anyway.

I'm not trying to be negative here, but who cares about "OS5"?

OS4 exists RIGHT NOW. and for some HW is available RIGHT NOW. Now THAT is worth getting excited about.

some mythical OS5 may or may not be available for who knows How long.

Until I can hold it in my hands, please don't bother me....
