AROS and Eee PC Seashell
« on: April 17, 2015, 10:55:11 PM »
I know that some of Asus's Eee PCs can run AROS pretty well. I haven't seen anyone mention running it on the Seashell series Eee PC. I just acquired a barely used Eee PC Seashell netbook for free, and I am wondering what the state of compatibility that AROS has with this version of the Eee PC.

Has anyone used AROS on this version of the netbook series?

Those can be a bit dodgy, chipset might work, audio *might* work, wireless *might* work.. I have one that runs aros nicely, but lan and wireless dont work at all (no driver support),
and usb support is at times buggy.

The only way to find out is too boot AROS from an usb memstick and test it out.
Looking at asus homepage, there are many models of that series,
each probably with different wireless card, chipset and audio codec,
so it's impossible to say without an actual test of the machine you have
