Freespace PPC

Hey all, just got this game but it doesn`t work, it says Error 10 freespace.exe is not an executable :-( anyone know why?

What's your system configuration?

Theese 2 versions are included on the cd (orginal).

68k version is for Amiga Classics (1200 and a4k etc)
Warpos version is for 1200 and a3000 + a4k with a POWERPC card.


the third version is:

OS4 version (amigaone) can be found o the hyperion webserver , you will have to log onto the site first and register your copy to obtain the os4 version.

Well, I'm trying to use it on a CSPPC with a Voodoo 3, but there's only one icon in the directory, which is the launcher, and I just click on play... but it comes up with the error.

No seriously... I assume you selected the warpup version on installing the game and you have WarpOS installed and Warp3D installer and you can varify they are both working by using the demos that come with the above 2 packages?

If they are both indeed working I would suggest you reinstall Freespace as somethings gone a bit sideways somewhere along the way.

If you find either of the above 2 packages isnt working as it should then reinstall those :-)

check the tooltype of the icon, maybe the executable switch is not set or check if the file is protected or not.

Did you go through the registration? During the installation it will ask you for your CD-Key/Serial number. You need to at least give that number in order to be able to start the game.

The serial number is on a card inside the box. If it is missing, contact your dealer for a replacement.
