I'm also working (still...) on isometric 3D game engine, my game will be strategy game, much like UFO (in looks) and Laser Squad (in playability, 2 players, anyone?)

I'm currently rewriting GFX routines to take better advantage of 24bit display...

Can't say much about speed yet (sure it's fast enough on 600MHz PPC :-) ), but I haven't optimized gfx routines much yet (And likely won't, before the game is otherwise more complete)

But I'll likely be making "Classic Amiga" version aswell, but it will likely require GFX card (unless I do some serious altering in GFX routines, and it sure won't look as good in 8bit)

Well, I decided that I'd do at least most stuff for my project myself...

Maybe making lots of things "open" (=changeable), things like graphics, levels, unit statistics, missions etc...

But there's lots of things to do before that...

And of course, that's not my only project... Also working on Marble Madness clone...

Oh... If you're not too experienced with coding, it might be better starting off with some rather simple game... Or just decide not to start doing every feature first...

First "version" of my strategy game had barely (random) map with some walls, that could be scrolled. Second version had one soldier, you could move around... Third had some Field of Vision routines, and in the fourth version they finally worked :-)

But the idea is, start with simple things, don't even think of starting doing everything...

Well, my own game projects are currently more than enough to keep me busy...
So I'd rather concentrate on my own projects, I would really wish to see them ready some day :-)
