PCW9512+ I am the rubber band man
« on: November 23, 2017, 11:50:15 AM »
Managed to get the 9512+ back from the dead... Only took eleven years.

[ Just posted on EAB responding to a seven year old post ]

Sorry to tag onto a post from like seven years ago but yesterday I was at the end of my tether unable to find a solution to a broken PCW9512+ Citizen drive and came across this thread. Although not the identical drive did give me enough information to open the drive. And it worked. Turns out that the drive belt is the same as for the 3" Amstrad drives for the 6128 and 9512 so are still available from Ebay.

Anyway many thanks for saving my life. The computer is working for the first time in eleven years. And all cus of that rubber belt. Worth it though.
