this MsBlaster got me too but cos I'm running Win2k showed itself as svchost.exe crashing and disabling some functioning of the PC. Also wouldn't reliably connect to webpages. Ran Mcafee Stinger from this !
link and installed the MS security patch - now all is fine.
IT really took me by surprise as all I did was connect briefly to the internet to get it - but then I am running no virusguard or firewall...will be in the future
